Mr. Dischiavo
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has worked for over 22 years in the Sauquoit Valley Central School District. I provide counseling, behavioral support, parent consultation and training, and crisis intervention for children, families, and school staff. I coordinate school based groups such as Banana Splits and Lunch Club as well.
In addition to those duties, I head the district’s crisis response team. I co-authored the current OHM School Crisis Response best practice plan with Sue Cooper. This plan has been used by numerous schools in both our local and regional BOCES component school districts. I have provided crisis training and support to many local districts.
I have been working as a therapist, focusing primarily on children and families, in private practice for over twenty years. Recently, I opened my own practice where I specializes in working with children, teens, and young adults with anxiety. Previously, I worked as an independent contractor with Kids Oneida, providing counseling services to high needs children and families. As well as, several years as a crisis worker with the Mobile Crisis Assessment Team (MCAT).
I look forward to working with you!
